The fishing dock was installed April 30, 2024 from funds raised by generous donations within the community and beyond. Worthington doesn’t have a fishing dock that meets the ADA specifications, and this one does with handicapped approach and parking.
Two benches and four fishing stations:
* Wheelchair accessibility * Hole for fishing rod * Ledge for tackle box
Size: Walkway 6′ x 40′ and Fishing platform 10′ x 20′
Materials: Lumberock with a heavy metal frame
Sponsorships: $1,000.00 donations were given for each bench, fishing stations and the walkway.
The City of Worthington received a check for $41,237.00 for the funds raised in one year .
